How the Cruise Unfolds
Each expedition is shaped by wind, tides, and conditions, with no two journeys exactly alike.
Departure from Vancouver
A gradual transition from city waters into open coastal channels as the skyline begins to fall behind.
Northbound into Howe Sound
Sail toward the dramatic fjord landscapes of the UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve, where steep coastal mountains rise directly from deep water.
Into the heart of the Sound
As the city disappears from view, forested slopes, quiet inlets, and expansive channels define the destination.
Time within the fjord landscape
With extended hours on the water, there is space to settle into the rhythm of sailing, relax, snack, take photos, and fully experience the scale of the mountains and sea.
Return passage
A scenic sail back as light and perspective shift across the coastline.
Routes and timing vary with wind, weather, and marine traffic to ensure comfort and safety.
The Experience
This expedition is about leaving the city behind.
As the sail progresses north into Howe Sound, urban views give way to steep rock faces, forested mountains, and wide open water. The pace is intentionally relaxed, allowing time to settle into the rhythm of sailing and appreciate the scale and quiet of the landscape.
Your skipper adapts the route to the conditions of the day, selecting passages that balance comfort, sailing quality, and the most compelling stretches of coastline. Wildlife may appear naturally along the way, observed respectfully and without pursuit.
